God bless the USA & UK! I am moments away from posting a photo of Mr. Union Jack on my facebook profile. And I am glad so many have a pure and open minds, that are able to think clearly without allowing bullheaded American pride to cloud what we know to be true!
Our government and politicians for as long as the US has been in existence has used lies and half truths to control the American people and maintain order by allowing and encouraging us to believe everything is rosy in the USA and it is always done the right way in a country that is the most wonderful in all the world... right?
America is a state of mind and being American is a spirit that is UNTOUCHABLE! It's not a perfect government that cares for it's citizens and always does the right thing! Until the US people understand that they need to re-consider the entire corrupt governmental systems in place now, then, we may has well just close our eyes and continue to allow them to do what is right for the individual congressman and or politician... because it's no longer we the people, it has not become I the President!
And so far over the past few years and many of our American Presidents throughout history have show us what they are capable of and apparently incapable of! If left to our current president all of our oceans will eventually be polluted! Since he has said himself there is not much he can do! This is essentially a matter for all International Governments! As it will eventually and ultimately effect the world as well! HELP!
Our governmental system is ultimately responsible for governing big business and industrial companies and our governmental system has failed us once again in this situation!
What ever happened to governmental rules & regulations? Permits and safe guards against any company being allowed to do exactly what we know to be unsafe!? When did off shore drilling become know as an environmentally safe act??? Why were they EVER permitted to drill there in the first place??? And if not permitted then why isn't EVERYONE who pulled the trigger on the project not sitting on a bench eating a three course meal watching TMZ from a foot and a half inch concrete room with a nice view of metal bars?
I could not believe that Obama was interviewed eating at a table with some of the Gulf Coast residents sit and and explain that he has his limitations on what he can do!???? Really!??? The President of the USA he has NO pull here! No resources to plug the gusher??? No motivation to stop a TRILLION DOLLARS from gushing out into the ocean every day! No way can anyone who is not directly effected by this mess, understand how directly these individuals rely on the fishing and tourism etc... and have now had their livelihood taken from them in an environmental issue such as this will take much longer than a decade to begin to make it right! How long will we see the effects and damage to wildlife and the environment as well as the shore lines around the US and possibly the globe be effected???... It will probably take more than a century and they talk as if the oil will stay in one place and wait to be cleaned up! Let alone the amount of barrels still spilling every day, every minute every second into our ocean! Nope sorry, I do NOT subscribe to the "we will eventually fix this with words and holding a company accountable for the mess channel"
The time to act is right now! And Obama is waiting for someone else to clean up this mess! It's no longer a matter of accountability! It's a matter of self preservation! A matter of environmental preservation! Nothing in a free floating ocean with a tide that stirs EVERYTHING in it's path around and can carry any bottle or piece of trash from one side of the world to another will leave this "black gold" in one place to be contained or cleaned up.
Man... I could go on for hours! In fact I believe I have... sorry... just passionate about the way the US Government feels the American people are stupid and that all he has to do is tell us what we want to hear and change our direction of thought toward who is to blame, and in-spite of all that is obvious we will ignore our logic and believe that the night is day and day is night! :O)
