Stuck on stupid?
I find it extremely alarming that so many people can not see any further than the tip of their own nose. They seem to occupy their mind/lives with unimportant B.S. that life seems to continually throw their way, they seem to just sit and spin for what seems to be a lifetime! As I watch so many of my friends and family as they speed down the track of life, like a freight train, unable to see that approx. a quarter mile away there is 10 feet of missing track! The only other slight inconvenience is that instead of speeding down the track, they are actually chasing their ass in a circle! A circle of track that only goes left, and they can never turn to veer to the right, back up or switch tracks to head their "arse" in a different direction. It seems that they are "stuck on stupid"! I mean come on... please! Stop, assess, plan, sacrifice, re-assess and continue on... if they took 30% of the time they waste on their "days off" on mindless, pointless B.S. stuck in a mental loop, and apply it toward assessing, planing and implementing new actions into their lives, they would make a HUGE change to their future and ultimately derail their inevitable collision with their own ass! Er... um, I mean, come on, let's look at this situation realistically, are you on the "road to nowhere"? Do you continue to dwell analyzing the small frames when you should be focused on the "big picture", do you do the same things, same actions time and time again, and expect a different outcome every time? How can you expect to get a different outcome with the same equation? Yes, miracles do happen, but why leave it to chance? "God helps those who help themselves" If you have set aside a little time to gather with your support group, or support individual or just shut the entire world out and have some "alone time" to re-assess by your self. Just step... I mean REALLY!!! STEP BACK!!! And leave you're usual way of thinking by the wayside, look at life from someone else's perspective... step out of your old, waterlogged, tethered shoes and put on a new pair, better yet! Put on a pair of shoes that you would NEVER NORMALLY WEAR! Something that you would probably walk right on by in the past and glace at, thinking to yourself, "huh, those are nice, but not for me", this time, pick them up and take them home, because, obviously you are doing something wrong, if you are unhappy with your own life's situations. Stop, relax and re-assess your ways of looking at these situations in your life! If you can channel within yourself, what I am conveying unto you, you CAN expect that your life shall begin to turn around and your bad situation, eventually, however slowly, will reap positive changes over time. I must stress, not to make the same mistakes which I continue to make, time and time again... that is, falling into the workaholic mode. You know, sleepless nights, restless thoughts, continuous, meticulous, analyzation of each circumstance in your life. Leave the small things in the gutter where they belong, unclutter your life, your mind. Focus on what truly matters and keep your mind's eye focused on the larger issues in your life. It is all about balance, yin and yang! "Everything in moderation" and not standing too close to the painting. If you stand too close it all becomes a blur!
