"Cowboys & Indians" - an American Revolution

I had a friend just re-post this touching piece, it inspired me to touch on the subject and bring my own views of an old travesty to the table, just following this unknown authors writing: ‎"Before our white brothers arrived to make us civilized people, we had no prisons. For this reason, we had no criminals. Without a prison, there can be no criminals. We had no locks nor keys and therefore there were also no thieves. If someone was so poor that he had no horse, no tent or no cover, he got all of this as
gift. We were too uncivilized to be placed on personal property value. We intended only to property, pass on to him to. We did not have money and therefore the value of a human being was not assessed according to his riches. We had no documented set of laws, no lawyers, no politicians, therefore we could see each other not to cheat. It was really bad around us, Before the whites came, and I can not explain to me how we could do without the basic things that - as we were told -. for a civilized Arm are so necessary ".

This is very touching. It's very true. It is sad to see what our European ancestors brought with them to this part of the world. I try to forgive what had been done to the Indians by European (White & possibly Spanish from Spain) ancestors by simply detaching and non-association or identifying myself as a direct decedent from what has happened in past times. I like to tell myself that Europeans who came to this country were nothing like myself, and their travel here was born of necessity, escaping from their own life failures from within their own countries, they came to this country and founded America with the hope that they would create a better life and therefore a better country.

One problem... they first had to steal it from the Indians, round them up and move them to another chosen land... mission accomplished. I recently watched a 20/20 special on the Indian Reservation and how they were moved there and given funding from the government, which apparently was a direct result in their culture being lost and many of them becoming lazy and alcohol addicted. I don't agree entirely that these types of travesties towards the Indian's is a good enough excuse to lie blame entirely upon these circumstances.

I believe we all have choices in life, and as long as we are not physically being held captive, chained to a large bolder, or encased within a steel box, then, we have the freedom to choose to stay, and the the freedom to leave, to participate and react. It sickens me to think of the evil that has taken place in decades & centuries gone by... I thank God that I do often disassociate myself with so much that happens here in the USA on a daily basis, I feel disconnected from it, like I don't belong, as if I my soul was longing to return to a land elsewhere, which it may have migrated from. I believe most of these feelings are a direct result from a lack of being able to control all the "FREEDOM" we have here in the US. We have so much "FREEDOM" that we feel invincible, entitled, unstoppable.

So many as a direct result are completely unbridled and participate in what ever they wish, be it right or wrong, Citizen or Government... even Banks for that matter. We are above the law, we twist it to what ever shape we wish, we apply it whenever and to whomever suits us best. Many times we look the other way and allow injustice to prevail. And therefore in many ways our justice system has failed us, because it is being ran, weighed and applied by those of us who have forgotten about everyone else, other than ourselves. Essentially we are infected with corruption, influenced by our own life decisions throughout the years, amounting to what we now know as our "Civilization".

"I long to someday move from this wonderful country that is now overrun by politicians and get back to a place where there is not so much FREEDOM! That FREEDOM to choose right from wrong, which we should not even have the right to do anyway! When should wrong be a choice?! And the freedom of GOVERNMENT to choose apparently whatever they wish, which seems to be the golden key to claiming the treasure within the chest, the very chest we all fill through our daily purchases and again in one large donation each years end.

Americans as a whole have much to much freedom. We feel so free that we claim that freedom as our American right! We claim it and utilize it on a daily basis, it entitles us to excuse the lack of teaching our teens and children, who now don't think twice about destroying another's property and or taking another's life. We are raised without respect, honor, pride. We are so free, we have become lazy, and sloppy, as some work harder to pull the weight of the ones who have chosen to embrace the NEW American Dream. All while others in distant countries live their life with fear of God, fear of government and many times the fear of social outcast. And are actually in surveys and census reports, fingered as the "Happiest People in the WORLD!" America the country we all know is #1 is actually #14! Below Panama #12 & Israel #8! (LINK TO LIST) I am quite sure back when the Indians were the Americas, if someone stole from another they would loose a hand! Literally.

There were basic HUMAN LAWS, laws which were not written on paper or set in stone, but basic feelings of right and wrong which were guided by an inner spirit, and if any of these laws were broken you were shunned, cast out, ridiculed and punished in very different ways from today's "civilized" society. I find our modern society quite ironic, in the very way that we use that term "civilized" because to be civil would convey that of organization and the respect for what is right and for others, be the "others" human-beings and or animals. You are also expected to assume being "civil" would embrace having honor as well. Most... if not all of these ingredients are missing from our culture today.

We punish each-other for our differences, be them physical or mental, we steal, we destroy, we fight against one another, many times resulting in loss of precious life, which is not even given as ours to have the choice to take, which I would also conclude is essentially the raping or stealing of a soul, forcing it from the human body and causing it to reside elsewhere.

And as for "honor"... it is something of the past. We are a "ME FIRST" self-centered nation.
We have lost our honor in many ways. We are greedy, we are disrespectful, and we are proud of it in many cases. We boast as children, teens and eventually honor-less adults to one another. We grab all we can, we take what is not ours to take, and we destroy what is not ours to destroy, and we do so with pride and "bragging rights" to our peers.

This is what I would call "Barbaric". I can almost assure you that there was fear of God & fear of their "Human Laws" instilled within the Indian culture and in many other cultures throughout the centuries. However, not these days... we have: Graffiti, Killings, Theft, Capitalism & Rape & the list goes on and on... the world we all have been forced to know has now spread to the good old USA, and we are becoming increasingly forced to now live among-st it. That world is complicated to an even further complexity when you throw Government and all the capitalistic B.S. that shakes hands with it into the mix.

Not to mention all of our fraudulent practices and the get rich schemers. Law suits every direction you turn! And the direct result: Disclaimers printed everywhere on everything, even on the simplest, of our daily encounters... Styrofoam Coffee Cups "Caution Contents Hot"!

We have all been so self-consumed that we aren't even aware that "We" are the cause, and "Hedonism" is the effect.
